Aquabiking or Aquacycling *

Since 2009, Actiform Fitness Centre, located in Aix en Provence, offers aquabike classes on reservation. This sport, which started in the United States of America in 2005, is today acknowledged as one of the most efficient aquasports. Try aquabiking, you will love it!

Description of Aquabiking classes

Aquabiking (also known as « aquacycling ») combines classic cycling and exercises with the healthy effect of water. The sessions are guided by a coach who gives the rhythm in music. 

Benefits of Aquabiking

If you practice aquabiking regularly (minimum twice a week), you will improve your physical form after just a month/in about four weeks and you will quickly notice the benefits.

As you are cycling in water, the motion is gentler on your joints. Aquabiking will :

  • strengthen your whole body and especially your abdominals, your buttocks, and your thighs.
  • progresssively reduce cellulite
  • stimulate circulation thanks to the draining effect of underwater massage.
  • improve/increase endurance.

Who Can Practice Aquabiking ?

Aquabike classes are for all those who want to keep fit in an easily accessible and fun way.

Unlike the classic fitness cycling which requires high muscular and cardiovascular efforts, aquabiking is gentler as the movements in water protect your joints.
